Portrait Commissions
Each commission is a one-of-a-kind personalized creation requiring a different amount of time to complete. Please contact Sholeh to discuss what you have in mind for your painting. If you have a photo that Sholeh thinks would work, she will use that. Otherwise, she prefers to schedule a photo session with the person or people being photographed in various poses. Then she and the client will review the photos and select the favorites as reference for the final oil portrait. Completion time varies, depending on the artist’s schedule and complexity of the job. If necessary, there will be a final sitting at Sholeh's studio or your location, so Sholeh makes sure that the final painting completely captures the detail and personality of each person.
All paintings are executed using the finest quality oil painting, and archival linen canvas. Since framing can complete the final portrait and decorate your space at your home, if requested, Sholeh will offer her expertise to select the best frame for the artwork so that the final oil portrait can be delivered framed and ready to hang.

Investment
Fees vary, according to size of canvas and number of people in the portrait. The following prices are for single portraits. For each additional figure, the price will increase 50%.

Fees do not include framing, applicable sales taxes, or travel and shipping expenses. Preliminary cost, such as travel, are billed when incurred, and a non-refundable deposit of 50% is due when the painting begins. The balance is due upon final approval and acceptance of the portrait.
